All I have to say is WOW! the Pianoteq really blows them all away! And there are lots of options and they all sound really good! and yes, I learned that the R2/W1 are purchased separately from the pianos. However, I did download the LL EP-4 and the Pianoteq demos. I have always been a big fan of sampled libraries as well and have always shied away from the modeled ones. that's great for that specific sound, but I want more options, like clean and chorused. The Tubed Keys are sampled by mic'ing a Fender Twin that a Mark IV is connected to. If that's you, look into Sampletekk Tubed Keys and Wurli, SonicCouture EP73 and Broken Wurli, as well as AIR Velvet, which I particularly like.Īctually, I already have the Sampletekk Tubed Keys and Wurli, but they're very limited to one specific sound. High-end effects: Tremolo, chorus, phaser, and reverb especially tuned for an electric piano. Compressor and Equalizer: Craft your sound and add punch. Just select R2/W1 and you get Rhodes, Wurli and Hohner bliss.īut some prefer samples over modeling. Lounge Lizard Session delivers authentic classic electric piano tones with outstanding sound quality, action, and feel. When you go the Pianoteq route, you don't need to buy acoustic pianos. And you get some pianos as well.īoth AAS LL EP-4 and Pianoteq R2 are mighty fine examples of Rhodes Mark Twain modeling. It's not much more than $99 for the "stage" version that has a bit more limited feature set. I prefer the rhodes model that Pianoteq does.
